ANYONE WITHOUT WINING MENTALITY CAN’T SATY- MONCHI

Director of sport Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo has reportedly told Roma players that anyone who doesn’t show a winning mentality cannot have a place at Roma.

Ahead of the Giallorossi today’s training session, Monchi gave a motivational speech to the squad and Sky Sport Italia claim it was a stark warning.

“At this delicate moment, we need to exhibit a winning mentality,” Monchi reportedly said.

“Anyone who doesn’t show a winning mentality cannot have a place at Roma.”


Roma have stuttered lately, crashing out of the Coppa Italia to Torino and managing one point in their last three competitive games.

LJAJIC OUT FOR THE YEAR

Torino midfielder Adem Ljajic’s has suffered a thigh injury that will rule him out for the rest of 2017. The Serbian international came on for Mirko Valdifiori at half-time in the loss to Napoli, but picked up a muscular injury. Today the Granata have confirmed that Ljajic missed today’s training session with the rest of his team mates, with scans revealing “a strain to the right biceps femoris muscle”. Ljajic will be out of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match with Roma. While further scans are planned for the coming days, Sky reports that the creative midfielder is likely to miss the games with Spal and Genoa, making his return in the new year.
