"BENEVENTO WILL SIGN THREE PLAYERS"-PRESIDENT

Benevento President, Oreste Vigorito has confirmed that three players join the side in the winter transfer with Sandro’s deal very close.

The Streghe have won their last two matches, but remain rooted to the bottom of the Serie A table, eight points from safety.

“We’re not looking blindly, we’re aiming for players who have given their availability. These are players who come to Italy to put themselves in the shop window with the hope of saving Benevento, and that’s what we asked for”.

“They have to bet on this experience, do well and grab a new contract in Italy. They come for commercial reasons”.

“There will be three more players, one [Sandro] could arrive today but we haven’t closed it yet. A representative will go to Turkey to close what we couldn’t so far”.

 Vigorito revealed it will be difficult for Benevento to sign players due to their position on the League log but was adamant that they will get their target players.

“Our transfer campaign is complicated and we can’t convince players to come to Benevento, so we’ve had a large number of scouts and observers in just a few months”.

“We’ve had two days of medicals which will serve as an integration. Sandro has confessed to me that he’s fascinated by everything here”.


“He sees Benevento in his future, we have an option to find him and finally make him a Benevento player.”

LJAJIC OUT FOR THE YEAR

Torino midfielder Adem Ljajic’s has suffered a thigh injury that will rule him out for the rest of 2017. The Serbian international came on for Mirko Valdifiori at half-time in the loss to Napoli, but picked up a muscular injury. Today the Granata have confirmed that Ljajic missed today’s training session with the rest of his team mates, with scans revealing “a strain to the right biceps femoris muscle”. Ljajic will be out of tomorrow’s Coppa Italia match with Roma. While further scans are planned for the coming days, Sky reports that the creative midfielder is likely to miss the games with Spal and Genoa, making his return in the new year.
